The Greenhouse

Upon arriving here, one of the important building ptojects ws the need for a greenhouse. Henry was hired to build it. Mark was hired in to dig out the bank right next to the back deck. Cement block walls were erected with rebar and 2 internal butrases. A mortor surfacing was applied to the inside. Draine tile around the outside with a drain inside as well. The glass panes from the properties original glass greenhouse were retriv4ed from the basement and fited into the new design. The skylight glass is Shaterproof glass purchased from Windsor. Clear ceder was used for the benches, Electric Baseboard heat was installed, Flourescent Lighting, and a string of bathroom fans for ventilation. A custom dutch door was built by Carol Wright..

The greenhouse has served us well. Not only as a green house but as a small gathering place for the family. or as a getaway (Mancave) on a regular basis. Every spring you will find the benches loaded with flats of seedlings fo the garden and the hanging baskets.
